I hold a BSc degree in Biology from the University of Iceland and a PhD in fish physiology from the University of Goteborg in Sweden.
I have extensive experience from various aspects of research related to fish physiology, environment and aquaculture, where I have for many years worked closely with Icelandic fish farmers to improve sustainability and minimize the impact on pristine Icelandic fjords.
I have established and been involved in number of Icelandic, Norwegian and EU projects with focus on environmental research and not least anthropogenic impact.
In 2024 I joined Blár Akur in Iceland as Senior Advisor with focus on aquaculture and environmental research. In this role my experience after years of working closely with fish farmers with focus on production, licensing and development of new technologies will be of paramount importance.
